Project Overview

Reinventing “The Art of Living Well”. As an innovative, sustainable, mixed-use development, Harmony Village will be a resort-like community with an urban village feel, aimed at inspiring and rekindling an active lifestyle in today's generation of baby boomers. Each Harmony Village development will revolve around an urban village concept featuring retail stores, cafes and restaurants, a vibrant community centre including fitness and lifestyle amenities, such as cooking, yoga and art classes, as well as essential services such as medical and professional offices surrounding residential condominiums. Each Harmony Village will follow universal design including the latest in renewable energy and energy efficient. The architecture and design of the development will incorporate LEED gold design standards.

Harmony Village Lake Simcoe - a signature project of City Core Development, is about building an innovative mixed-use community along Barrie's waterfront - an inviting meeting place for residents and community members. In order to encourage the public to become engaged, City Core opened the selection of the winning architect to a public vote. With four renowned architects vying to be named the winning firm, the public, alongside a preeminent panel of design and architecture experts cast their vote for the winning team. We are thrilled to announce that RAW Design/The Planning Partnership and Diamond Schmitt Architects will be collaborating on the design, helping to transform downtown Barrie and its’ spectacular waterfront, with the community at its core.
